Privacy Policy

Plain and specific: here is every category of data we actually store, why we store it, and how you stay in control of it.

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Next Job Roles (“Next Job Roles”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). We collect only what the Service needs to work, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your resumes to train models for anyone else.

1. What we collect and store

These are the categories of data we actually hold:

Account and sign-in

  • Your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
  • Your Google account identifier and profile picture, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Account status — whether your email is verified, your plan tier, and the time you last signed in.

Security and session data

  • Your IP address and browser/device information (user agent), recorded when you sign in and while your session is active.
  • Login history — the time and outcome of sign-in attempts — and active session tokens.

We keep this specifically to secure your account: to detect suspicious or fraudulent sign-ins, rate-limit abuse, and let you review and end active sessions. We do not use it to track you across other websites or to build advertising profiles.

Profile information

  • Your name, and any contact details you add (such as phone number and location).
  • Professional links you add (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, personal website).
  • Work experience, education, certifications, skills, projects, and your job preferences (roles, locations, salary expectations, work authorisation, notice period).
  • Optional demographic fields (such as gender, pronouns, or disability/veteran status) — collected only if you choose to enter them, and used only to power features you ask for.

Resumes and AI output

  • The resumes you upload or create, including the text extracted from them.
  • Resume versions, your private notes, and the AI-tailored resumes we generate for specific jobs.

Job activity

  • Jobs you save, hide, or view, and the applications you track (status, match score, and the role details you record).

Usage and activity

  • First-party analytics about how you use the Service — the pages you view, the features you use (such as resume tailoring), and interactions — recorded together with your IP address and browser information.
  • A record of which paid features you use and how often, so we can apply your plan’s limits fairly.

This is first-party analytics stored on our own systems and used only to run, secure, and improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers and we do not sell this data.

Billing

  • Your subscription status and plan. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card or bank details.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide the Service — storing your profile and resumes, tailoring resumes for jobs you choose, scoring them, and tracking applications.
  • To operate our AI features. Tailoring reframes information already in your resume for a specific role; it does not invent experience, and you review the output before you use it.
  • To authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To apply your plan limits, process your subscription, and send essential service messages.

3. How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

  • With trusted service providers that host our systems, send email, process payments, and run the AI that tailors and scores your resume — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only to deliver those functions for us.
  • Where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account, profile, and resume data for as long as your account is active. Security logs such as login history and session records are kept for a limited period for fraud prevention and then removed. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we must keep limited records to meet a legal or accounting obligation.

5. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, session controls, rate limiting, and least-privilege access. See our Security page for details. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep your information safe.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Access and update: view and edit your profile and resumes any time in your account.
  • Delete: remove individual resumes, or delete your entire account and its data.
  • Sessions: review and sign out of active devices in your settings.
  • Withdraw consent: stop using the Service and close your account whenever you like.

To make a request, email support@nextjobroles.com or use the controls in your account settings.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and first-party analytics to understand feature usage and reliability (described under “Usage and activity” above). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, we do not sell cookie data, and we do not take part in cross-site behavioural advertising. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children

The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the Service.
